ios 8 wifi calling techleaks.usApple announced in WDC on 2nd June that’s its brand new OS iOS 8 will support wifi calling. But this feature will be strongly dependent on the mobile carrier support. Right after this announcement, T-Mobile has also announced they will support Wifi Calling too and this feature will be available for iPhone users over iOS 8 which is coming in September Hopefully.

With the upcoming update, more than 90 percent of all T-Mobile smartphones will feature Wi-Fi Calling, adding to the 17 million Wi-Fi Calling-enabled customer devices on T-Mobile’s network and more than 5 million customers using Wi-Fi Calling during any given month… Now — with the news coming out of Apple’s keynote today that Wi-Fi Calling will be enabled with iOS 8 – I’m excited to welcome our iPhone customers to the convenience and ease of T-Mobile Wi-Fi Calling as well.

The wifi calling feature will give users the following features over the Wifi instead of using your cellular data plan or your voice plan.

  • Make Calls
  • Receive Calls
  • Send SMS
  • Receive SMS

The best thing about this feature is that it does not needs any activation or app for its use. You will just have to connect to some Wifi network and make sure that your Wifi calling is turned on your iPhone and just make call or send SMS as usual. That’s why iPhone users are excited and waiting for the iOS 8 to come in air so that they can enjoy this useful and free feature. T-Mobile is the only company in the world whose customers have made over 6 billion HD voice calls along with about 13 billion HD voice call minutes since they launched this.
