Updated PC Specifications for The Last of Us PC Port

The Last of Us (TLOU) PC port is highly anticipated by gamers and fans alike. Last week, Naughty Dog and Sony released the minimum PC specifications for the game, which were quite demanding. However, the good news is that the specifications have been updated and are now less demanding, making it possible for more PC gamers to play the game without having to upgrade their equipment.

Iron Galaxy Handling the Port

Interestingly, the new specification sheet includes the Iron Galaxy logo, which suggests that the company is handling the port. Iron Galaxy has previously done a solid job with the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection port, so we have high hopes that the TLOU PC port will be just as good.

Lower Recommended Requirements

The updated specifications are lower than before, which is great news for gamers. For example, if your performance goal is 60 fps at 1080p, you can meet that specification with a less powerful AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT (8GB) instead of the AMD Radeon RX 5800 XT (8GB).

Great News for Everyone!

The adjustments made to the PC specifications for TLOU PC port are a positive trend that we hope to see more of in the future. With the popularity of the game and the HBO TV show based on it, loads of newcomers to TLOU will be pleased with the improved specification list. Hopefully, this trend will continue, and older equipment will be kept in mind when porting games over from console to PC.
