TL;DR
- The fate of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Fan Edition is up in the air.
- Roland Quandt of Winfuture says there may not be a release for the Galaxy S23 FE phone this year.
- Samsung also hasn’t released a Galaxy S22 FE yet.
In recent years, Samsung has gone quiet with regard to its Fan Edition (FE) phones. At the moment, it’s unknown what the company plans on doing with its FE line. And the latest news may not be a great sign for its future.
Roland Quandt from Winfuture — who has a fairly good track record of revealing information before it’s announced — went on Twitter today to reveal something about the Galaxy S23 FE. According to Quandt, it “sure doesn’t look like there’ll be an S23 FE this year.”
Sure doesn’t look like there’ll be an S23 FE this year.
Quandt didn’t elaborate on his statement or provide additional details. As a result, we can only assume he has yet to find any kind of evidence that would suggest the existence of a Galaxy S23 FE.
On the bright side, this tweet doesn’t necessarily mean that there won’t be a Fan Edition of Samsung’s latest S series. It just means there’s a good chance it won’t come around this year. This does, at least, leave the door open for the possibility of a Galaxy S23 FE launch next year.
Unfortunately, given Samsung’s recent history, there’s a greater likelihood that there won’t be one. The last Fan Edition was for the Galaxy S21, we still don’t have a Fan Edition of the Galaxy S22. However, a rumor has suggested that the Galaxy A74 may be replaced by the Galaxy S22 FE.

What Does This Mean for Samsung’s FE Line?
While Quandt’s tweet doesn’t necessarily mean that there won’t be a Fan Edition of Samsung’s latest S series, it does suggest that there’s a good chance it won’t come around this year. However, this leaves the door open for the possibility of a Galaxy S23 FE launch next year. Unfortunately, given Samsung’s recent history, there’s a greater likelihood that there won’t be one. What About the Galaxy A74?
There is a rumor that the Galaxy A74 may be replaced by the Galaxy S22 FE. If this is true, it would mean that Samsung is focusing on its A series instead of its FE line. However, this is just a rumor, and we will have to wait for official announcements from Samsung to know for sure.
Conclusion
It’s unclear what Samsung plans on doing with its FE line, but the latest news about the Galaxy S23 FE may not be a good sign for its future. While there’s still a possibility of a Galaxy S23 FE launch next year, there’s a greater likelihood that there won’t be one. Samsung fans will have to wait for official announcements to know for sure.
